Ho, I had an entry on Working At Home: How? last December. After that, I was wondering what is the figure look alike for this home-base worker? How many of them really keen to work at home as me?
There were a survey from CBSMARKETWATCH.com reporting that out of 10,000 workers finds that those who telecommute, either from home or other remote locations, report highest levels of satisfaction with and loyalty to their company.
When companies allow employees to work remotely or online from home, they are explicitly communicating to them that ” I trust you to be dedicated to the accomplishment of the work, even if I’m not able to observe you doing it,” said Jack Wiley, executive director of the Kenexa Research Institute in Minneapolis. ” It boils down to respect.”
| Remote/Home based workers | Office workers | |
| Satified with company as place of work | 73% | 64% |
| Proud to tell people I work for my company | 70% | 64% |
| There is open, honest, two-way communication | 54% | 44% |
| Not considered leaving the company within 12 months | 53% | 46% |
I hope this will give you more in-depth on working at home concept. Cheers :>
