What you sell = Who you sell to?

Now, this entry is a follow up for my previous entry on Making money online: Internet marketing made easy <Part 1 and Part 2>. However, it will be a bit different as I will elaborate more on point #1:
Directly offer a product/service for sale at your website. You can offer a product or service on your webpage or you can offer free information to lure people to another where you then have a product or service available. This is the most popular way of making money on the net because it’s easy to set up and you can get the initial profits rolling almost overnight. - (Product-Sale).
Are your Internet business build on QUICKSAND? I’m certainly hope not. You see, nowadays, when it comes to Internet marketing, it’s not WHAT you sell that counts - it is WHO you sell it to!
If you do not take the necessary steps to make 100% sure there is an easily reachable market of people online who WANT TO BUY something you can sell them, then there’s a strong chance you’re building your business on QUICKSAND.
So, bloody hell that you have to MAKE SURE YOU’RE SELLING TO A NICHE MARKET WITH REAL PROFIT POTENTIAL!!!
By “niche market,” I simply mean, a group of people who have a certain problem, and are ACTIVELY looking for a solution online without much luck. That’s called niche. Sometime you need luck to come by. And of course, once you offered them solution they willing to pay good money for that!
If you can provide that group of people with a product or service that solves their problem, then your business has a good chance of making money.
BUT: No matter HOW fabulous your product is - if no one is looking to buy that product - or something like it - online, then your business will collapse like a pack of cards.
It is just that simple. Read on for a Malaysian success story.
Take this case as an example. I like them as I’m one of their satisfied customer and the story goes like this:
Since the incident of our premier broadband service provider Streamyx (locally we called them Screamyx) nerved and blocked all the P2P connections, Malaysian are officially no longer able to download anything through the famous torrent. We suffered, especially for those who much depending on torrent to have their entertainment.
But while we are suffering, there are bunch of business-oriented young geeks, see this problem as a business opportunity. They started to offering VPN (Virtual Private Network) which route our P2P connection through high-speed broadband servers which are all located out side of this country.
BolehVPN is Malaysian based online VPN service provider.
This isn’t just for beginners, either… Even if you already HAVE an online business, you STILL need to make sure that you are targeting viable niche market. It’s the only way to make sure your business is built on a solid foundation.
