Out of office message: any impact?

Email? Otherwise known as “the device that allows strangers to inconvenience you”. According to a Glasgow University study, the biggest cause of stress at work is the average 600 emails in your inbox after a two-week break. Stress right?

Tempted to bin the lot? “This isn’t the answer,” says Dr Karen Renaud. “Deleting everything is like saying: ‘Talk to the hand.’” Instead, set up your Out Of Office message to ask for anything important to be re-sent on your return. This will certainly help to reduce your stress level. ^^;
