What a coinsidence, after I have posted on browser usage market share and also 5 enhanced features on FF3 two days ago. Today, Mozilla has just released the latest and last update to Firefox 3 before it goes final, Release Candidate 2. Though officially still for ‘testing’ purposes only, this release has just a few additional fixes since RC1 and may actually represent the final version of the browser.
Development has come a long way since Firefox 2, with more than 14,000 changes and improvements made under the hood (better memory handling, speed improvements) as well as feature-wise (protection against phishing sites, improved bookmark management). Overall, Firefox 3 is a very customizable yet solid browser that is well worth the upgrade, when the final version becomes available in a purportedly record breaking event later this month. Cheers!! ^^;
UPDATE: No new exciting features to be reported about, still, Firefox 3.0 RC 2 does provide Malware Protection by default, as well as Web Forgery Protection, SSL error pages, Add-ons and Plugin version check and Secure add-on updates. The open source browser comes with a revamped Download Manager, the save open tabs capability, full page zoom, customizable location and search bar.
However, there is site reporting flaws.
