Heh, how many of you out there are having migraine? If your migraine happen too often then you better check out your light bulb. According to U.K.’s Migraine Action Association and other health organizations, the lights come out from your compact fluorescent light bulbs could cause headaches, as well as nausea, dizziness, and even physical pain for those suffering with lupus, according to their study.
These compact fluorescent bulbs, the twisted looking replacement lights that use as little as one fourth the power of their common incandescent counterparts (and last much longer), are being adopted worldwide in an effort to reduce energy consumption. They are even becoming mandatory in some countries — a little troubling according to the Daily Mail, which reports that health experts in the U.K. say the green bulbs can cause migraine headaches or other disconcerting symptoms in many people.
The Daily Mail says that because the bulbs work in the same fashion as typical fluorescent bulbs (which can be irritating to some), the subtle flickering inherent to the technology can cause problems. Britain’s Migraine Action Association director Paul Jansen said, “For some people a migraine attack can be triggered by fluorescent lights, video screens, stroboscopic effects and flashing lights.”
You better have all your bulbs check out, are they all compliance to the latest non-flickering technology?
I know I just blogged about high-end technology on genome sequencing, but some time, advance technology do give us trouble, not big though, but enough to irritate and kill you softly. But in this case, migraine is a hard way killing
